- Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
- Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.

Definitions and Interpretation
In this Privacy Policy, the following words bear the following meanings:
"consent" means any voluntary, specific and informed expression of will in terms of which permission is given by or on behalf of you on the website for the processing of Information.

How & when Boopme will share the Information and with whom
Boopme will share the Information with third parties if you have provided us with the necessary consent to do so.
In the latter event, we may inform the relevant third party to contact you directly regarding any other products/services.
This may include the processing of your Information for credit reporting purposes. For this purpose, you hereby consent to Boopme requesting and obtaining credit information pertaining to you from a credit agency for concluding any transaction offered by Boopme through the Boopme website.
Boopme may partner with other organizations who may provide you with the services requested through the Boopme website.
These partner organizations are required to keep Information confidential received on behalf of Boopme and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for Boopme.
We may disclose Information to third parties who provide services to us, including organizations and contractors that assist us with the purposes for which we use the Information.

Customer enquiries and support services;
Mailing operations, billing and debt-recovery functions;
Information technology and network services;

Boopme will try to keep the Information accurate. We will provide you with access to Information. To protect your privacy and security, when doing so, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity.
Upon request, Boopme will:
Correct the Information that you state is incorrect; or
Permit you to "opt out" of further contact (excepting notification of major changes to the service), either on the original site of registration or at any time subsequently, while still allowing basic access to the site;
Remove you and the Information provided electronically from our database, thereby cancelling your registration.

What is the legal basis for us using this information?
We ensure we have appropriate legal basis on which to collect, use and share data about you.

We cannot provide our services to you without collecting the information you give us because we need certain information from you to be able to approve credit application and to provide our other services to you.
For other types of information (such as the information we collect based on your use of the website and information we receive from our sources about you), we process this information for the purposes of providing our services to you as agreed in our contract and for the purpose of to enable us to:
Provide a secure website to our customers; and
Analyse our users’ behaviour and preferences, and information collected from users' devices in order to have information required to be able to improve the services we provide to our customers and the user experience on our website.
Law and jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and without regard to the conflict of laws principle. You agree that any cause of action that may arise under this Privacy Policy shall be commenced and be heard in the appropriate court in South Africa.
You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within South Africa.
Acceptance of policy
By using the Boopme website, or otherwise providing your information to Boopme, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy.
